Frisco Mo Bounce-Fest
Team overall record: 2-2
May 09, 2026: Day 1 (original post)
Volleyball returns. As the AAU championships in Orlando apporach in June, we've got two warm up tournaments first.
How about a block and some celly to get us started?
The first match against one of the MKE Sting teams was a tight 27-25 in the first set and a bit of a beatdown, 25-13 in the second.
Turned out that two of the wings on the team were horsing around before the match and nearly broke something on the grounds playing hacky sack or something. They were benched for this match and our boi, jeff meff, got some extended run on the outside.
He did a hell of a good job out there.
Next up, Mamba.
Back in his normal middle position, he helped to lead the team to another sweep: 25-21, 25-19. They were firmly in control for almost the entirety of this match.
After a strong morning, I was feeling pretty confident we had a shot to win our third straight tournament......
......and the #1 MKE Sting team put it on us pretty good while the bois lost both sets: 22-25, 13-25. They let go of the rope in the second set a bit and just like that, their 16 set, 8 match win streak was over.
We close the day against......another MKE Sting team. This one day tournament was at the Sting facilities and they are quite large. There's a lotta volleyball coming out of the Milwaukee area.
About the only good thing to come out of this match is that each set started......

The kiddos ran out of steam to close the afternoon, losing both sets: 17-25, 19-25. We've had better afternoons together.
Our hero mr. meff didn't play in the last match so here's a bonus shout out to clark. He was still putting it on kid's heads.
I haven't seen our boi play for nearly three months now, and let me tell you, he's a hell of a lot better. Benching or otherwise, there's no way they'd trust him on the outside coming into this year. He's put in a hell of a lot of good work to get here.
3rd place (not exactly sure how, lol) ain't so bad either.
