Aug 02, 2026: illusions

You'll have to forgive me for a moment. I listened to this questlove podcast recently......

......and I ended up on a cypress hill adventure. Which just now reminds me that dj muggs did an album with the gza/genius (I'll check that out after I'm done watching the dark knight).

Here's the thing about gulliver, even when he's not being a good boi, he's my good boi. Whatever was bothering him last night was gone and today he was right as rain.

Plus, there were no accidents all weekend so he's also back in my good graces as he keeps teaching me lessons. Lessons like......

Now that we are back to having fun again, ya boi and I decided to form a band named grandpa & dj fernster. If I had more time, I'd combine the image above and the song below to make our first album cover. Alas, you'll have to imagine it.

To close my born day, we shift to our anniversary.

Well, before we get there: I don't like to celebrate. Never have. So much so that I will plot and scheme to get (re)married on my birthday to eliminate half of the celebrations. Theoretically at least.

Part of being anti-party is to zig when others zag. Who doesn't love to celebrate? Strategery aside, the value we place on arbitrary dates just doesn't interest me much.

This will be a hard pivot from that to this (lulz)......I've been married five years today. Plus some more. I couldn't even tell you the actual total. Well, I have the paperwork so I definitely could tell you the actual total. Still, I won't.

My ride or die also just so happens to be my partner in crime. I'd rather nikkigirl enjoy this on the random day she reads this than the actual day it's all about. In truth, every day should be that day.

I love you every day lady.

PS......this coming from the guy who's trying to chronicle for three-hundred-and-sixty-five straight days in a row like that means something. Take everything here with a grain of salt.
