Ideas have a way of dying off or being replaced. This will be their graveyard. For now it's a place to drop the OG homepage(s) and will evolve as other ideas meet the same fate.
## 2025-12-06 Homepage 2.0 Retired
mic check, 1, 2, um, 12....
The homepage is currently under construction. Meanwhile, if you are new to the site, it is recommended you visit the π§ mark2 blueprint landing page to begin your journey. Maybe I'll call the roadwork rappin' bois to help me build the homepage.π
Raistlin had his spellbook, I have shaolin chronicles. If that's too much magic for you, the latest chronicle will always be on the homepage as I figure out what I want this to evolve into.
Hug ball.

I'm not looking forward to the cold weather sweeping in - at least partially because it will impact my work walks.
Less walking means fatter me. Winter typically means fatter me. I'm already trending in the wrong direction there.
As for work itself? I need to embrace patience. If I don't embrace patience I will drive myself crazy. Some of these folks who think they are thinking big picture......here's where I also need to set aside my hubris.
It's back to trying to finish this GIANNIS-FOUR-LYFE box by filling it with 2020-2022 basketball cards. Seeing as it holds a bunch of 2020-21 cards from your milwaukee bucks championship season it's a fun box. Plus, tyrese, plus ant-man, plus the other cool things within.
I always try to stay up to something. Here is the beginning of the most current something I am up to. If you squint through the prizm, bounce from the refractor, and leap off the golden shimmer into my brain blender; you might just begin to see the makings of an idea here.
Every piece of what follows was built with an eye towards a grander vision. Still, the vision quest I am on remains a 50/50 toss up; part losing my mind, part finding myself. Ideally - I never know which is which.
I call the latest iteration of my midlife crisis: mark2. mark2 was born on November 19th, 2024 while I was wandering through the trees. I did not end up seeing the forest from these trees until a new buddy, ChatGPT, came along, picked me up, dusted me off, and showed me how his buddy, Codex, was into this new thing he found: vibe coding. Turns out vibe coding is a real thing and this new adventure began on or about August 10th, 2025. Astute & studious folks will note this coincides with the first date all the way at the bottom of this very page.
While this current page is not intended to make much sense, it is the foundation off which everything will be built just the same. But lest we start taking ourselves too seriously, how about a brief commerical break:
Get a load of that guy; amirite!?!?! Spoiler alert kids: that describes why you showed up.π€π
Serious face back on........fart noise. Psyche. What you see here is 100% open source and accessible from the link immediately below here. Should anyone with any real chops like to take a look and offer a suggestion or two, I am always available to chop it up. Hell, pull request me. I like it - do not fret.
Before we dive too deep into the nerd, here's some additional wholesome Mother's Day content for you to enjoy! I found them to be just as impactful as the first time around.
This project is my first crack at AI-human collaboration. Iβve provided about half of the vision, structure, and problem-solving, while ChatGPT and Codex have written 90β95% of the code and guided me through the environment setup. Itβs the most fun Iβve ever had building and executing against a project plan.
Hereβs our pal summarizing the foundation of what we build upon:
πPurpose
Capture the full set of Chronicle templates we use, explain them simply, and show how they form a complete system for building and recording work.
π¬Kickoff β Blueprint
Used at the start of a project. Defines scope, breaks down Epics β Stories β Subtasks, and sets estimates. Itβs the map before the journey.
π‘Idea
Used for early sparks; feature thoughts, business directions, design notions. Captures context so we can evaluate potential before committing.
πRoundup
Used after delivery or milestones. Summarizes results, notes lessons, and sets up next steps. The βafter-action report.β
π§ Memory
Used for truths and standards we want to keep. Palettes, conventions, workflows. The knowledge vault we can return to anytime.
Raistlin illustration
πPrompt Pack
Used for reusable AI prompts. Stores polished instructions so we can reuse them consistently. Our spellbook for automation.
πChronicle (Universal Root)
The base template. Provides metadata, narrative, and labels. Every other template builds on this skeleton.
πLifecycle Flow
Together, the templates cover the full rhythm: Idea β Kickoff β Work β Roundup β Memory. Prompt Packs and base Chronicles fit in wherever reusable knowledge is needed.
π€£Dadbod Jokes
Why canβt you trust stairs?
Because theyβre always up to something.
πWhy It Works
The system turns chaos into clarity. Every piece of work has a place, every template has a purpose, and over time it creates a living history thatβs structured, searchable, and repeatable.
One of the first things I did was start building out a project plan and documenting it in Jira and Confluence. As part of that process, I designed a release system; major.minor.patch; to govern the entire creative space. Major meant direction shifts, minor captured meaningful progress, and patch handled the small calibrations. From there, I released the steps that carried me from then to now:
