You wanna know how I know that my brother loves me? Well he and his hooked me up with he-man & battlecat for my birthday without even knowing we just watched Masters of the Universe. He simply knows what he right answer is.

I have now received two birthday presents this year, the first is that godfather book from jeff meff and next, my newest toys from one of my favorite clans.

Before heading back to this side of the border, nikkigirl and I had breakfast with marina, david and the lazer. More good times with good folks and good food before we headed back.

Today was pretty much 100% unclejimmy. More rare than it used to be.

So here's the thing. I'd do just about anything for the lazer and that includes 70 minutes of cats.

I went to this. lulz

I've never been in a more pro-cat environment in my entire life. I don't think I've ever been near anything that was more pro-anything than this. Cat acolytes. Big Cat. And I'm not even kidding. Bahahahahaha

I slept through half of it, and we left about 15 mintues early because lasz had been itching to get a crack at me on the soccer field. TL;DR: he schooled me. My right leg will need weeks to recover after I did my best messi impersonation for him.

Once we were done letting one kid destroy me on the soccer field, we decided to up the difficulty and see if we could still handle three at a time. We picked up cal and aden and headed off to the pool.

Record scratch: We were saved by the over-capacity Gods. No room in the pool, can't come in.

Before we get into how awesome it was to crack a few beers to with little bro, let's revisit aden real quick. Last time we saw him he was on the fence about unclejimmy and just how cool he was. Leaning a solid yes, but still on the fence. I'm happy to report that he's fully onboard. Speaking of acolytes......plus one more.

We ended up at amber and ryan's because they have a dinasour slide pool yo. That turned into a bunch of good time with some good folks and good food......plus a surprising amount of basketball. I'll take that ten out of ten times.

Three kids is a tornado - the pool might have ended us. lol

I almost forgot the chronicles today. One of these days I hope I do forget. Ok, not really.

Let's pause for a quick shout out to jeff meff. He's been a regular human being this week and getting up at a reasonable time every day. You know how these fucking teenagers can be. Odd hours, absolutely insane life decisions, and generally speaking, not giving a fuck (at least the good ones).

Anywho, he's been up and at 'em, ready to help out with fern all week. With Menasha still being mostly shut down, it's hard for me to be home every day and hear our puppy dogg sad about being locked up in Alcatraz all day while I'm forced to suffer through work. mr. meff has made sure that nobody feels incarcerated all week long.

I love them both, dearly.

It's a short night for me here tonight. I spent the last of my energy today giving out advice to those that didn't want to hear it. I'm too negative, you see?

fern likes to sit on the curb and watch the neighborhood unfold in front of him. Often, I sit on the curb, he puts his front paws on my lap, and we both watch the world go by together.

You'll have to forgive me for a moment. I listened to this questlove podcast recently......

......and I ended up on a cypress hill adventure. Which just now reminds me that dj muggs did an album with the gza/genius (I'll check that out after I'm done watching the dark knight).

Here's the thing about gulliver, even when he's not being a good boi, he's my good boi. Whatever was bothering him last night was gone and today he was right as rain.

Plus, there were no accidents all weekend so he's also back in my good graces as he keeps teaching me lessons. Lessons like......

Now that we are back to having fun again, ya boi and I decided to form a band named grandpa & dj fernster. If I had more time, I'd combine the image above and the song below to make our first album cover. Alas, you'll have to imagine it.

In, around, and throughout playing with cards tonight, nikkigirl and I watched Masters of the Universe, the newest he-man movie.

Today was lost to an Act of God. Power was restored so I can put this lame post up just in time though.

This dude has some major ego issues. Always convinced that the world revolves around him and he'll tell you about it too. It's also hard to find any proof that it doesn't revolve around him.

Ego or not, he seems to be learning. Only one accident over three days was pretty good.

I'm going to be up way to late tonight because it's Thursday and I work remote tomorrow. That means I'll sleep in, get up way too late and roll into a day of 1:1 chats just a touch groggy. And more importantly, I'll miss my little lady in the morning when she drops off fern because of said laziness.

Point being, I left a few gifts on the counter for you ellyot. My newest favorite coffee shop has all kinds of knick knacks with dogs on them so I picked you up a few. Look at our cute little boi!

Sure I could have waited until you picked him up to give these to you, but I thought maybe you'd like a nice little note here and then an even nicer moment when you see me next. 😉

motherfucker.

It was eeeeeeeemma's graduation party today. With the wildfires and smoke this week: some travel plans were ruined, we got a bit nervous to have an outside party as planned, and nikkigirl came in clutch to find us an indoor place to celebrate. Shouts to the Little Chute Public Library for coming in clutch.

Check out the cute, newest graduates I know, couple. It was a good day for her today. She's a good egg.

Here's the thing though, if there's family around, especially if those darned kiddos are around, it always ends up only about them. I no longer get a say here.

• new emma told the boys today: this is my jimmy (she's not wrong)
• the lazer and cal do not agree that they don't get a piece of me
• aden however, is still skeptical. Intrigued, yet skeptical. We'll get more time together and fix that

Even though the kids get most of the shine - it was a really well rounded family day. I saw a few people I haven't seen in nearly a decade, some I see all the time, and then everything in between. Good to see four families represent with numbers. Maybe we are the four winds. Or maybe they can simple be described as North, South, East, and West (wink).

eeeeeeeemma saw a lot of support and felt a lot of love today. She built this.

PS......almost forgot that lasz stopped by to meet fern. We snuck in some time with spider-man, the incredible hulk, and tony stark for good measure. Take that, sandman.

He also made me this new milk bracelet I now have from eeeeeeeemma's craft table at the party. While these rubberband bracelets rarely last long as I thrash in bed at night; I'll rock it as long as it lasts. There's a few spots these dead soldiers end up retiring when the time comes.

Tuesdays are gully days. Schedules leave him here late on Tuesdays so if I play my cards right I can see him after I get out of work.

The things I let this beast do to my face. This must be love.

I'll tell you what: I don't wanna go back to work tomorrow. Might not be built for all of that - laziness suits me better.

I might have taken 10 naps today. I'm a pro napper. In between naps, I rode planes, sat in airports, watched the world cup (😭Haaland😭), and......took naps.
