It was gorgeous outside today and I'm starting to realize that I will love me some downtown Metrasha in the spring and fall.
First of all, there's a post office within 3 blocks of [redacted]. This is going to come in clutch when I can just wander around in warm weather without having to put a coat (brings attention to my activities, someone might invite themselves along to lunch). Second of all, I'm on the hunt for great spots to hide out over lunch where noone can find me. Today's spot failed within 5 minutes. I saw a coworker at my spot along the river almost immediately. Gonna have to fix that.
On my walk back to the office, I took the long way and I think I found a super better spot where none of these lazy fucks will show up at.
TBD.

I'll go postal on any MFer who fucks with my peoples.
I hesitate to write it down, but things are going well at work. Much of the noise around me has started to die down as I settle into my role.
I'm confident.
Or maybe I'm just happier because I was at my favorite post office in the world today.
I explained to a cowoker today that the free coffee cups and lids that come with the free coffee (plenty good enough for me) at [redacted] have a fatal design flaw and occasionally drip. Some of you may know this more than others, but coffee is a bit of a bummer to have drip on clothes that you care about.
Point is, I remembered the coffee shop I've been meaning to hit up for eight months now and finally did so because the cup and lid situation led to a small splash on my desk. I got frustrated (lol, not really, it ain't so serious), and figured it was time to treat myself finally.
Three main takeaways from there: first, nice little shop and I'll be back. Second, I found a cute little gift there for someone special to me. Next time I go back, I'll cop that quick. And third, there was this cranky old man who made the poor service worker uncomfortable when she said she needed another ten minutes to finish his pre-order. I felt a certain way for her. Like, kindness is worth more than ten minutes in this situation.
