Jul 20, 2026: soul food
I explained to a cowoker today that the free coffee cups and lids that come with the free coffee (plenty good enough for me) at [redacted] have a fatal design flaw and occasionally drip. Some of you may know this more than others, but coffee is a bit of a bummer to have drip on clothes that you care about.
Point is, I remembered the coffee shop I've been meaning to hit up for eight months now and finally did so because the cup and lid situation led to a small splash on my desk. I got frustrated (lol, not really, it ain't so serious), and figured it was time to treat myself finally.
Three main takeaways from there: first, nice little shop and I'll be back. Second, I found a cute little gift there for someone special to me. Next time I go back, I'll cop that quick. And third, there was this cranky old man who made the poor service worker uncomfortable when she said she needed another ten minutes to finish his pre-order. I felt a certain way for her. Like, kindness is worth more than ten minutes in this situation.
I'd rather be good soul food than "that guy" 100 out of 100 times. Be kind, rewind.
Speaking of true kindness: I've got at least one silent partner at [redacted]].
It's slow progress, and yet, at least one or more individuals are working with me on a project. Might be might favorite project at work right now.
Best five minutes of the day? Maybe.
On a good day at [redacted] I'll get a good four or five mini-walks in. Sometimes up stairs. Sometimes to mainline caffeine.
Sometimes to the post office. Oooh! New non-machinable stamps dropped. Used to be a butterfly, now it's a moth.
Plus, trust me. I moved a dozen things forward today. Always forward, never back.
I let the algorithm take control and this next song, and more importantly this album showed up shortly after.
It's bangers only status when this song enters the chat. On an album about uplifting you and the community around you, for the first/best song to be so paranoid about the world around it: I fit right in. I learned at least 2% of everything I know from the dungeon family.
Listen to me now, believe me later on
In the future, look it up
