Oct 07, 2026: brother eye

It's pretty amazing how wild of a swing my day-to-day at work can be. Heck, my minute-by-minute. One moment I'm humming hello darkness my old friend to myself and the next, I'm skipping out of [redacted] considering how much of the world is my oyster.

While I had a day full of great meetings - either positive or trust based in nature (trust based being a higher level than positive) - the real win was and old pal saw me walking through the hall and stopped by my desk to just say hi. Literally noted we hadn't talked in awhile and just wanted to chat for five quick minutes.

Two soulmates just making sure they are still aligned. They are.

In related news, this same individual once told me they wished I was more involved in their workstream and earlier today, mmy new boss just told me the odds are very good I will be closer to said person's workstream. Kismet as kismet gets.

I try to bring my own kind of joy to the party and sometimes I succeed.

The brewer game is keeping me up late. Perhaps I make sense from here (or previously), perhaps I don't. That goes for the entire site BTW.

As for today's nonsense, I had some story time with nikkigirl and we both had interesting stories forked off of the idea I'm laying out for you digitally here.

Point being, just shy of five years ago my brother ryan caught himself a bad case of covid and in the height of it, I sent that text above.

We're entering the bottom of the eighth and it's looking good for ya bois while I am about to expire. Wrote the rest before the game ended with my glass half-full hat on.

Bring on the dodgers.
