May 22, 2026: blog era

Blog boi has made some mistakes in my blog era. I fixed one by uploading the photo I missed yesterday.

The week ended a little early, and it ended well. Kicking off yesterday with a culture of care schpeel paid off for me in multiple ways today.

I made another personnel decision today and will be up to ten direct reports starting in June. He's got an interesting growth mindset and it'll be fun to watch him evolve.

Ten is also going to be an unsustainable number for me long-term. On the other hand, I'm confident I can build a non-hierarchical team that will sustain itself while the broader organizational structure catches up to our rapid growth patterns.

It's possible this hits a number north of fifteen. Almost immediately. lulz

I agree.
