Jun 04, 2026: calm

I've been receiving a lot of feedback about myself recently. New leaders, new people, new hires, new me. Generally speaking, I leave an impression. I don't say a positive impression intentionally, though I'll humbly submit, it's mostly positive impressions.

The challenge I struggle with is that I don't have that same positive self impression. Paradoxically, I'm striving so hard to be a positive force multiplier, that in my quiet moments, I have nothing left for me.

It can all feel so whiney when I type it out. Like who am I to talk about how often people are legitimately excited to see me? Oh woe is me, people like me so much and it's so hard for me to process that. Shut the fuck up already buddy.

Today was a two walk kinda day, second walk ending in a tasty sub. Based upon my whinging above, you may have noticed it was an emotional day and thus, I had to get away a few times (plus the calendar was light). Hard decisions remain hard. I don't know if I just did the right thing or not.

Anywho, my calm is being noticed within the storm.

I like your calm approach to...... is hard to hear as I am wrapping myself into a pretzel internally.

nikkigirl could use a safe space. My troubles are the least of our worries. You think you can bring enough smiles to the world to ward away all the sad, and then life shows you its own wry smile.

We need an extended fern appearance. Shower with love. Love returns.
