Jun 05, 2026: recap

I had a few quick meetings to start the morning that resulted in some good visibility for myself and a few members of my team.

From there, a new fella accepted our offer and he starts two Monday's from now. That'll bring me up to ten direct reports and because of this ever growing number, I wrote the next version of what could be considered my most current manifesto and published it to the team.

To close my day the afternoon consisted mostly of silent reflection. A few ideas, a few notes for self-improvement, and a hint of regret. Hard choices stay hard.

Long story short; this guy here? The fernster was a therapy dog for nikkigirl and me today. We had a couple of nice moments sitting on the kitchen floor: he loves us and we love him back.

PS......because I couldn't step away from work, he also shit and pissed on that same kitchen floor. Grody.

As I continued to sort through some lingering work thoughts, I also continued the sorting of FSU football cards.

I'm having a lot of fun remembering some guys from bygone eras while the great re-org continues.

What is this collection of chronicles, if not but a recap of my life. How overly dramatic is this writing? lulz

I'm not surprised that waxahatchee rules the roost of my last quarter. I adore her sensibilities.

It's also no surprise that my vibe would be: dramatic + reflective + in your feels.
