I got to see two teammates, new to collaborating, come together on short notice and deliver a banger today.

Plus, other great conversation. Positive momentum (cautious).

I could give you a story about a time at [redacted] where I called a guy Hunter accidentally, and then spent two weeks making jokes about it to the point where I started to forget his actual name.......had to be there kinda thing. If I were going to tell you something like that though, I'd note that was the second time in my first seven days that I had repeatedly called him by the wrong name. A different wrong name each time.

And nikkigirl is always wondering why I say everyone's first and last name.

bonnibel stopped by today and that meant the streak of high activity at the house continued. It's a dad week + plus like three other reasons = each of the nuclear four getting in some good dad time within a 48 hour span. That's a unicorn of a two day stretch. Those in attendance:

You may have noticed I've finally been giving the kiddos the paintings I made for them two x-mas times ago. Refreshers if you are playing ketchup:

Point being, early in the creation of these paintings I was so disappointed in the quality of them, I had a bit of an emotional breakdown. Okay, a massive emotional breakdown. And then along came bjork.

I don't think it's exaggeration to say I listened to this three dozen times to snap me out of that funk. I was four months into unemployment at that point, and I think all that emotion might have had more to do with than just these paintings. 🫠

She healed me.

Almost exactly a year ago, I went on a walk, listened to this album and wrote a whole blog post where each song was somehow related to my former employer. It's honestly some of my best work, I'll never forget it. Well, except for the chronicle - that bad boi is long lost.

Maybe one day I will get this entire story told.
