May 06, 2026: unexpected pedestrians

I deployed yesterday's blog with a weird block of text in it that led to the chronicle not being recognized. I have no idea how it got there and my sincerest apologies to my #1 fan.

Might have been aliens. And not the illegal ones.

I spent a good portion of my day today firefighting remotely. More remotely than normal. A fuck ton of quick decisions made. Many of which are only able to be made because of the trust we've built as a team.

Overall, great trip. I'll be happy to head home tomorrow though (right up until I have to get up at 4am).

Today was the first time in my life I saw dozens of signs on a highway warning: Watch out for unexpected pedestrians. Well, at least they aren't super racist about it. lulz

This was the exact moment I realized just how close to the border I was. Shout out to the Mexicans. Honestly, you can have this shit hole of a country. You probably deserve it more than I do.
