I'm back in action. At least what feels like action to me.
Not off to a great start though because I forgot to snap a photo.
Still, this is my tenth deal with Rick, former coach of the longhorns (lol, not so funny inside joke), and he's been an excellent trade partner since my earliest days on tcdb.
Appreciate your patience with me on this one, pal.
In between the rest of life, I used this deal as an excuse to look at some cards today.
In typical tcdb fashion, I made an offer and what was returned was above and beyond the ask, just because. Some sets and clan collections expand due to Marc's kindness:
That last batch of data was all sent as a PIF. Guess I better be nicer to some folks tomorrow.
To include some packers that reminded me to add them to the project.
Last, but not least, and before I go climb into bed in my final preparation for a new work week......JB. Deal number fifteen together. Only eight of my fellow traders have reached that many deals with me.
Time flies when you are having good trading partners.
Coming out of this weekend, I had two remaining deals I need to get out the door. They have just lingered too long. First up? Eric and our third deal together.
There's a whole lotta set collecting help in the return package. Much appreciated.
Before the party started I snuck some card time in and processed a milwaukee centric trade as I worked through the anxiety of seeing so many people. lulz
scroll amendment · 2026-07-19Most of these snapshots were actually added tomorrow. Which by the time you could even really read this would be yesterday (non-stalker class). Today only ever happens for me on this one. For you dear reader? It's always in the past.
Nice to add another member to the PC. I had a 🍆 for a few early nineties guards. eric included.
Finest, Metal, and Chrome? Plus, that football card is part of a recently completed set. I should get around to moving some sets into binders. Now that I think about it, I bet it would help with the great re-org project that will never die.
This was another no brainer, just accept the offer to be a good partner trade type situation. In generous offers like these I want to introduce zero friction, and get the cards out the door - on their way to a proper home.
The outgoing trades today continue to escalate in terms of total cards going out the door. 2 to 27 to 104. One hundred and four cards going off to Michael. I recently added someone to the team named Michael. I couldn't be more thrilled with the hire and that's also a different story for a different time.
This is the seventh deal with Michael and there's so much set collecting help in the return package. Excellent partner.
First deal of the night was actually pulled out of my PC (personal collection). Sometimes I'm on the hunt and the thing I'm hunting for ranks higher than the cards in my PC and I then move them to my trade list and get a deal done.
Here's an example of that. I love Metal cards and I love HOF cards. It's a little hard to send these out the door, but what I'm getting back is better within the algorithm.
Set collector plus a little bit of jeff. Irrelevant numbers continue to increase.
Ya dig?
This is my seventh deal with Rencher and Rencher always comes in clutch. Good partner.
More Finest (including two fun RCs) and 2010's cards is always a win in my book. Fun decade for basketball cards and a sneaky hard chase just for base cards like this.
I like an offer that I can just accept like this. Reasonable, balanced, not trying to dump some crap on me.
Whenever I do anything that is not basketball in my schema, I realize that I should pass the sport back to these snapshots. More transparency and clarity.
