Nov 05, 2026: business

I was just cruising calmly through my day when someone says to me: hey, what have you heard about [redacted]? Well, nothing sir, but I have a contact or two, let me go on a mission.

TL;DR: big changes that will shape the lives of hundreds of folks are in motion. Nothing that will directly impact me or mine, but one click away from me are some folks that are worried about their future. I subscribe to the theory that this is a net positive, but change is always hard. Sometimes the right business decision isn't clean.

I walked out one door and right back in another day because the rain was just too much to walk through. We gave it the ol' college try.

Whining worked.

This poor kid is just trying to live his best life with grandpa and these ladies are torturing him with outfits. It's quite hilarious though.

nichol and I have a second language, and an Abbott & Costello routine based entirely upon here one word or a short phrase. One word, business, and she knows exactly what I'm going to say next.

That said, this isn't that version of business. In this case, I have had this song in my head for what feels like weeks. Sometimes a lyric gets stuck in my head and I might say the same 4 words in my head a hundred times a day, for many days in a row. This is that for me lately. Literally cannot shake it.
