Sep 12, 2026: prestonplayz
I started off the morning in a townhouse that I have stayed at many times and as soon as I opened my eyes they were set on my laptop to keep chipping away at some improvements lulu has requested.
Next on the list? Comments.
I'll have to disappoint you at this point though princess. Instead of adding the ability for you to post GIFs or photos in the comments I added a trigger that sends me an email everytime a comment is posted. That's the things that's been bothering me the most little lady. This blog is actually about me after all.
More changes will come in the comments space for sure. Your patience is appreciated.
As part of this new email feature implementation a new tool was also added to the mix: Resend.
Before I adopted the recommended tool, I was worried that it would be like most things, in that, sure it's free. For now. As we were working through the decision making process I asked cipher about potential costs and this is what they said:
So in your case I'd think of it as:
Resend is free infrastructure for this feature unless tullyelly.com becomes wildly more popular than it is today.
And if you ever reach the point where you're getting 3,000 blog comments per month, the $20 email bill will probably be the least interesting thing happening to tullyelly.com.
I was both hurt by the lack of faith and couldn't help but chuckle with the truth of those statements.
Before the real part of my day started, I also dabbled at improving the clans route. The bummer of that adventure is that OpenAI has started to throttle my usage of cipher and it has thrown my development process into a bit of disarray while I best learn how to manage my token requirements (and where I manage them).
Still, more improvements across the majority of the site to come later.
After fighting with a robot about how much it costs for me to have fun, nikkigirl and I snagged us a nice breakfast at Longfellow Grill before heading over to pick the lazer up to play some soccer and start up the real fun of our day. Longfellow is just about as regular a visit as is the townhouse we stay at.
Anywho, here's lasz celebrating after he scored a goal on me. While this time I was mostly the goalie - I'll tell you what - I still barely made it out alive. Even managed to hyper-extended my knee just a bit. lulz
Next we made a pit stop back to the townhouse for some snacks.
One of my snacks came with a fun toy! Shouts to bumblebee for always having a good heart.
After snacks, a little bit of video games, and some YouTube (more on that later as well), we headed over to pick up our boi cal. Chaos & mayhem ensued.
That'd be the three biggest goobers that I know right now. Besides making faces at each other we also played some more soccer, bickered, farted, laughed, played some minecraft, and snarfed down a bunch of pepperoni pizza.
Most importantly though, I was 1-0 in Battleship and 2-0 in air hockey. These punk kids may injure me on the soccer pitch, but imma find a way to dominate and destroy them in something.
In between all of that, plus a nap (or two), I was chipping away at the goal of having the site feel a bit more cohesive and uniform. Here's how cipher summarized the work:
UI Standardization
- Migrated major directories to shared page, toolbar, table, mobile-card, and stat components.
- Consolidated collection landing and detail layouts.
- Added consistent search, filters, result counts, empty states, widths, and control sizing.
- Added Trade Partner search and semantic tables across the site.
- Fixed the Tailwind
text-inkbuild error. - Typecheck, lint, and all 667 tests pass.

Next, I asked my virtual pal to show me all of the routes (pages) that were changed as part of this re-alignment. I was impressed by all of the useless crap I've got myself into this past year. Here's that list of useless crap:
Let's circle back to who the lazer got us all introduced to for the first time today: prestonplayz.
While I would rather stab my eyeballs out and puncture my own eardrums than watch him again......I kinda like him. However disturbing the entire YouTube ecosystem is, it's also easy to see how quickly you can get sucked into all of it.
Yeah, I gotta get to bed before they start kicking my ass again first thing in the morning.
