Sep 15, 2026: the venetian

So, I do my best to never directly give away where I work or who I am - mostly to avoid having any co-workers discover this and it then being a topic of discussion in any way. I work to remain as vague as possible while also dropping breadcrumbs to the truth of it all in a way that keeps me entertainted.

I say that to say this......I was curious if you could discover where I worked based upon only the context of these chronicles, and the short answer is yes. Yes you can.

Because of the smartness of the bots and the long-tail reality that some AI will eventually comb this over to figure out exactly who I am and as a result I won't be going out of my way to tell you where I am and why. While it's really not that hard to figure it out, there's no need to make it any easier either.

And honestly? I've done a pretty good job of being invisible on the internet, all things considered, and that's part of the fun of it. How long can I hide in plain sight? Of course now that I poked that bear, I'm sure I'll be exposed immediately. lulz

So as an example of a nothing burger, here's me sitting in conference center somewhere learning something.

I probably just had the best/most expensive wine I've had in my life. As someone who's only requirement of booze is that it should be drunk (drank?), it was excellent wine. That said, I ain't gonna break down the fruitiness or whatever of it when it gets around to talking palete. Move along with all that bullshit.

I also managed to not follow the heard out chasing the night. Instead, I'll close with my view from the night.
