Also, don't tell mah baby that I'm telling you she's a good (casual) sports fan. Tennis, F1, basketball, baseball, hockey, golf, football and a few I'm sure I'm forgetting. Out of all of them though, tennis and golf are probably the two sports I would consider ours. Ours in the sense of an overlapping passion.

First of all, I had planned to be even more "productive" today than I was (at least to begin).
Instead, I slept in until 10am and then the dude you see above requires a lot of attention. Plus, he shits on the floor, which is part of the first point.
Once I knocked the cobwebs off, I decided to talk to the bot to see how we can move some stuff forward today.
The squad page is first on that improvements list. Long story short; that page is now much more dynamic and db driven. There's three new database objects + about a couple dozen columns that allow for the flexibility I require for any area you might stumble upon.
Wherever you land on my site, rest assureed, there's a 5 year plan attached to it (hyperbole).
As for the improvements and squad page itself, the links to bonnibel + jeff meff each hold custom content that will need to be folded into the standardized page, and the nikkigirl + lulu + eeeeeeeemma pages will show you what the baseline "standardized" approach looks like. At some point I'll weave in a way to have some custom content within that standardized format.
Much of the programming, testing, and writing about both was accomplished with this heat box attached to me.

As I worked on a trade, I realized that my baseball drawer was starting to show signs of wear. Every single box/drawer is fighting one of two battles: contraction or expansion. To be sure the cards in each battle aren't falling all over the place, I create supplies to fill in the gaps out of the scraps of my day-to-day.

The house was fuller than usual tonight. andrea was over to the house cooking dinner with nikkigirl, bonnibel stopped by to eat said dinner, and I even saw eeeeeeeemma for the first time in what fell like weeks. She gave me birthday uppies even though it's not my birthday. I gave her a magnet I got at the El Paso Chihuahuas game a while back. Both of the kiddos at the house tonight got their magnets. 🐕
This dude took me onto a highway for the first time today (we got on and off the highway two whole times!). Well, not for me, but for him bringing me. Which I guess the first sentence did say clearly enough. You ever say some shit and then wonder if that shit even made sense? I've been doing that for 147 straight days at this point.
The homie has his first on the road this week and he's a pretty decent driver at this point. I'll let him tell you in his own words: I didn't crash I'm basically a pro at this now. I would say I'm happy for the first bit there, and skeptical on the last bit all the same.
Life comes at you fast. Almost like a highway or something.

For every set I put into binders, I keep one spot open on each of the first three pages for some eventual art or other bright ideas that might come along. At one point, I asked eeeeeeeemma for art on this football set I completed years ago. I bet she drew that for me almost 4 years ago now.
What a lady. Think she would draw me another 300+ pieces? There's a lot of sets that I've already completed, but only one with her art.
Woke up holding a grudge against this guy because he decided to snuggle with nikkigirl all night instead of me.

Unfortunately, after an early substitution mistake that led to a point swing, they lost the rope a bit. In the second set of a 0-2 loss coach was trying some shit and playing a few different lineups we don't see much. Just not their day.

Day two started with mr. meff getting some extended run on the wings. Dude has some hops and I cannot exaggerate how far he has come to get playing time at a wing position. He's a baller.

Overall, they played much better today, going 2-1 overall. After losing the first match, coach gave them a pep talk and they proceeded to rip off two victories, including the third match which started immediately after the second. The second match was a bit grueling so winning that third match was no joke.
Plus, fun with numbers. Nice!

Windy City Round-Up
We're in Chicago playing in the final preparation tounament leading up to the championships in Orlando in a couple of weeks. It's been a long and winding road with this team and they are a good group of lads.
Just a small crew, one of my favorite factions of squad, off and in attendance for this big weekend.
It was a bit of a struggle all day. Mostly from jump. They would get into an early hole, battle back, and then let it slip away in the end. In one set they fell behind 2-8, came storming back to take a 23-21 lead, only to eventually lose 25-27. A highly volatile day.
3 matches, 3 losses. 6 sets, 6 losses.
Ya boi jeff meff still went beast mode a few times. Win or lose, his improvement this year is tremendous.
