Jun 16, 2026: life is a highway

Today there was a bit of a return to normal.

I met with my newest hire this afternoon as well. He's a good dude and I like the cut of his jib. I'm now at ten direct reports and I will be hiring at least two more in short order.

I love the shape of my team and it's difficult for me to build up the spirit needed to lead them every day all the same......it just keeps growing though. lol

Speaking of jeff meff......

This dude took me onto a highway for the first time today (we got on and off the highway two whole times!). Well, not for me, but for him bringing me. Which I guess the first sentence did say clearly enough. You ever say some shit and then wonder if that shit even made sense? I've been doing that for 147 straight days at this point.

The homie has his first on the road this week and he's a pretty decent driver at this point. I'll let him tell you in his own words: I didn't crash I'm basically a pro at this now. I would say I'm happy for the first bit there, and skeptical on the last bit all the same.

Life comes at you fast. Almost like a highway or something.
