May 19, 2026: strange fruit
I left work today to pick up nikkigirl from her job site and was on so much less than empty. Upon returning home, I had to get on a call to discuss a new person who is joining my team. I've got nothing in the tank, and here I am making decisions that will impact another human's life. She's got a whole family, maybe her own side blog, and my decision matters. How do you remain up? Up for nikkigirl, up for my team, up for my family......up for me?

PS.....shout out to bonnibel. She got me on a whole year long train of thought that is really taking me back and running me through my own personal memory lane.
Life is a mind fuck, kids.
Going into tonight, I had no idea that I was going to consume an art show. Like, no idea. I thought I might catch some corbin tennis (longer story), but not some art.
Fuck the art though for a minute. Never forget Wu-Tang is for the children and look at this wonderful crew. I won't have any kids in high school ever again (theoretically, lol) and thus, this crew might be it for me. They inspire me. Every single one of them.
I won't even speak on any of the eeeeeeeemma art pictured above. She and her art speak for itself. Her art teacher loves her. I love her. We love her. Perhaps one day she'll learn to love herself. 😉
Time for a brief detour into my children and the thoughts that float through my brain matter as I consider them. It's not just eeeeeeeemma, or bonnibel from earlier, that inspires me. It's all of them. I could, and would if you follow the hash tags, explain to you how they inspire me. Each and every one of them.
That said, it's eeeeeeeemma's time to shine today. As one example of her star shining, I can say that this website would not exist in the form it does without her inspiration. My paintings, my drawings, my code, my journey, my website, or any of it, isn't the same thing it is today if I don't see her build out her own journey. She has a PORTFOLIO, son. I aim to be as creative as she is. I remember I am creative by seeing her creativity. Even more poignant: I learn I am creative from her creativity.
Can I just say this though? I might be able to compete, at least on a creativity level, with a bunch of high school seniors. I say this with all the love in respect in the world. lulz
