🃏cardattack release log

Sandwiched between some Canadian Hockey deals, we sneak in some good ol' fashioned American football. I've got to be sure I don't get too international with it, might find myself deported. lulz

Looks like we've got a steelers fan in the house. I wonder what he thinks about this aaron rodgers situation.

This is our third deal together.

This was just a strong offer from Dr. Daryl.

A nice Olympic side adventure here. Ugly cards, mostly nobody I've heard of, and I absolutely love it all the same. There's a king james in there somwhere lulu. I forgot to take a photo of it. My apologies.

Well done.

The last inbound deal of the day includes some of my favorite: Sports Illustrated for Kids.

I love my SI for Kids cards and have some pretty nice ones laying around here. Plus, stuffs!

Beyond stuffs, we also completed this set tonight. That places Jim firmly into my own personal HOF. Help me complete a set and I owe you one.

Another deal that I initiated on the hunt for the player to be named later referred to earlier. Oooh, so mysterious! lulz

If we are sending out that much caitlin clark we must be scoring something fun on the return. I hope it's the summer of caitlin.

Glad to help out Donny with one of his students as well.

Win win.

Another inbound trade, another big day for set collector. I'm pleased with how this portion of the site is starting to fill out (not so pleased with how it looks). Lotta cleanup work in the blog to bring it up to today's standards.

I don't chase brewers cards all that aggressively, but in this case I couldn't resist this 2002-Fleer Tradition Update - Glossy #U399 Richie Sexson numbered to /200.

Then I scored this nice mid-90s on card auto from kenny "the jet" smith. Any deal with autographs going back and forth is neato mosquito. Especially, if the auto coming back is from the mid-90s like this. I don't come across these all that often.

We interrupt this broadcast for some green and gold. lulz

Like I said though, it's a good day for the set collector. My basketball boxes are beginning to run out of room again. Ever changing, always evolving.

And we close with the homie. Always a pleasure when our Wi-Fi password shows up.

Nice little deal this one ended up being. A little set collector, a little bucks, and a strong trade partner, Brandon.

big o, redd, bogut, and kareem is lowkey, a quality batch.

I'm now up to 48 database migration files. While it is not a particularly interesting number in and of itself, it is interesting to take a moment to note just how much of this site is now database driven. SQL is now 5.7% of the files in the repo, per GitHub. Ish.

Today's database change comes with the addition of Hall of Famers to my tcdb infrastructure. Basically, if you (trade partner) send me a card or cards that close out a set, you are inducted into my own personal HOF. Check out the route for the first handful of examples.

Small inbound deal to kickoff the evening.

The set collecting adventure continues. I love a trade that also forces me to get out the binders. Almost two full pages of james wiseman cards in the Chronicles set. Too bad he's trash.

This last deal of the night is one of those random deals that make them all worth while. This one has nothing to do with chasing a specific player or the closing of a set. Instead, I was on the hunt for something else, saw I had a couple of cool cards for my ol' buddy, Joseph, and then notice he's got all kinds of goodies tucked away.

Really looking forward to the return package here.

🚨 Another PIF 🚨 Another PIF 🚨 Another PIF 🚨

Clay is kind and appreciated. This particular oddball isn't available for sale or trade anywhere else on the site. Nobody is suddenly a multimillionaire here, but I can all but guarantee I'll never come across this card again.

I might have to rethink this hall of fame idea so that I can figure out a way to induct a new member.

Nathan moves into the sole lead when it comes to trades mentioned on the site......I think. I could easily verify this, but where's the fun in that?

How about some......

🚨 Spoiler alert: Phil is about to join my own personal hall of fame when the return package lands. 🚨

Little bit of this, little bit of that, plus there were a few cool promo type cards in this one, and it's fun to see these odd ball cards find the right home.

Dustin stopping by to help with some good ol' fashioned set collector obsessing.

The end of these early nineties sets can be a little bit difficult to track down. Even though they were so overproduced, there are just enough variations, errors, or other quirks that make it fun to chase down the end.

This is no different.

When I'm not actively pissing off everyone around me, I'm trying to do my best to improve everything I touch and see. That's mostly impossible, except with the only area that is a complete dictatorship: my collections. Even then, it's basically impossible.

Sometimes I'm just on empty.

All that whinging to say this: last night and tonight, it was patrick's's turn to be improved. All 176 cards were processed through and into the current system, and the snapshot was recorded.

Yippee.

PS......What's a The Ewing Theory?
